For more than thirty years I have helped organizations run better meetings, better team collaboration.
Then I realized something larger was happening, too. The people who consistently became stronger facilitators also became stronger leaders.
They learned to ask better questions.
Listen more deeply.

Create engagement.
Navigate complexity.
Invite ownership.
Those are leadership skills.
Facilitation simply gives us a place to practice them.
What I do: Today my work combines professional coaching with decades of facilitation experience to help emerging leaders discover, and trust, their own leadership voice through facilitation. It's unique, and I call it facilitation-based leadership coaching. The coaching is in one-on-one settings and leadership cohorts. I also facilitate alongside apprentices, those emerging leaders who realize that leadership lessons can be learned through facilitating.
How I do what I do: I am personable, inclusive, and comfortable working with anyone. I coach in a facilitative, constructive, and respectful way, so you (not I) resolve your biggest issues. You'll develop innovative solutions through facilitating sessions, and you’ll see your leadership grow as a natural by-product.
My experience in a nutshell: For 30+ years, I’ve been consulting and facilitating with individuals and teams as they implement a wide variety of organizational initiatives. Experience includes facilitation-based coaching as well as designing and facilitating learning collaboratives, workshops, community gatherings, strategic and business planning processes, team-building, leadership development, process improvement, project management ... and the list goes on! I’ve even used facilitation to keep the peace during jury deliberations and at homeowners’ association meetings!
I am a Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF) through the International Association of Facilitators (IAF), an INIFAC Certified Virtual Facilitator (CVF), and a Certified Professional Coach (CPC). In addition to these, I held “former life” certifications as Certified Public Accountant and Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, both of which speak to my attention to detail and commitment to professional and ethical practices. To help promote facilitation, I’m a member of the Atlanta-based Southeast Association of Facilitators (SEAF) and was on their board and was president of a women's leadership/networking organization, PROWIN.
Beyond the job: Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and having fun with family and friends. I don’t sit still very long and am always doing something, whether it’s walking, working in the yard, experimenting with new recipes, frequenting local concerts and hole-in-the-wall restaurants, reading, learning something new, participating at church, or organizing just about anything!
